If you're awake early on a Thursday or Sunday and wondering what came out in Florida, you're in the right place. This page has the newest Florida Lotto numbers, the jackpot, what each prize pays, and the draw time in Nigeria. There's also a plain guide on how to play and how to check your ticket.
The game itself is simple. Florida draws six numbers out of 53, two times a week, on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Match them and you win.
When a draw is finished, the box above updates with the draw number, the date, the six winning numbers and the jackpot. Florida is a few hours behind us, so Wednesday night's draw reaches Nigeria on Thursday morning. Saturday's draw reaches us on Sunday morning. Most people just wake up, open this page and check.
One more thing to watch for. Florida Lotto has an extra called Double Play. It's a second draw that happens right after the main one, with a different set of numbers. If you added Double Play to your ticket, remember to check both.
Every draw is filmed. A machine mixes balls numbered 1 to 53, and six of them come out one after the other. Officials check the numbers before they become official.
Some players like to watch the video, and some only look at the numbers. Both are fine, because the numbers in the box above are the official ones.
Prizes are in US dollars. You don't need all six numbers to win something. Even three numbers pays a small prize.
| Numbers matched | Base prize | x2 | x3 | x4 | x5 | x10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 of 6 | Jackpot | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a |
| 5 of 6 | $3,000 | $6,000 | $9,000 | $12,000 | $15,000 | $30,000 |
| 4 of 6 | $50 | $100 | $150 | $200 | $250 | $500 |
| 3 of 6 | $5 | $10 | $15 | $20 | $25 | $50 |
| 2 of 6 | Free Quick Pick ticket | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a |
The jackpot starts at $1 million. If nobody wins it, it rolls over and gets bigger. If two people match all six numbers, they share it. Every other prize is a fixed amount, so it doesn't change no matter how many people win.
A small detail that people often miss: the base prize in the table, like $50 for four numbers, can't be won on its own. Every ticket has a multiplier, so the lowest you'd really get for four numbers is $100. And if you match only two numbers, you don't get cash. You get a free Quick Pick ticket for the next draw.
Every ticket gets a multiplier when it's printed. You don't pick it and you don't pay for it. It can be x2, x3, x4, x5 or x10, and you'll see it printed on your ticket. It makes your prize bigger when you match three, four or five numbers. The jackpot and the free ticket don't get multiplied.
Here's a quick example. You match four numbers and the base prize is $50. If your ticket has x5, you win $250. If it has x2, you win $100. Same numbers, different payout. It all depends on the multiplier your ticket got.
The small ones show up a lot. The big ones don't. This is how often each one comes:
| Multiplier | How often it shows up |
|---|---|
| x2 | About 1 in 2.89 tickets |
| x3 | About 1 in 3.25 tickets |
| x4 | About 1 in 5.20 tickets |
| x5 | About 1 in 8.67 tickets |
| x10 | About 1 in 26 tickets |
So if you get x10, that's lovely. Just don't plan around it.
The draw takes place at about 11:15 PM Florida time (Eastern Time). Ticket sales close about 20 minutes before that, at 10:55 PM.
Nigeria doesn't change its clocks, but the US does. That means the time in Nigeria moves by one hour during the year:
| Draw night in Florida | Day it lands in Nigeria |
|---|---|
| Wednesday | Thursday morning |
| Saturday | Sunday morning |
Our advice is to buy your ticket the day before. Nobody wants to be racing to pay at 3 AM.
Florida Lotto tickets are sold in shops in Florida, and you can't just walk into one from Lagos or Abuja. That's why players in Nigeria join through an online service like WeLoveLotto.
The rules are easy. You pick six different numbers from 1 to 53. Each line costs $3. You can also play your numbers for multiple weeks.
You don't need dollars to play. You can pay in Naira on WeLoveLotto. It goes like this:
The ticket price in dollars never changes, but the Naira price goes up and down a little with the exchange rate. So look at the final amount on the screen before you pay.
You have two ways to choose your numbers.
If you pick your own, you choose six numbers from 1 to 53. A lot of people use birthdays, lucky numbers or the house number they grew up in. It feels personal, and that's part of the fun. One thing to know is that birthdays only go up to 31. If you use only dates, you skip all the numbers from 32 to 53. This doesn't hurt your chances, but if you win, you're more likely to share the jackpot with other people who used birthdays too.
With Lucky Pick, the machine chooses six random numbers for you. It's quick and you don't have to think. Plenty of big jackpots have been won this way.
In the end, every set of six numbers has the same chance. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 is just as likely as any other set. So use the way you enjoy more.
Checking a ticket takes about a minute.
If you bought your ticket through WeLoveLotto, the ticket and any win will show in your account. You can also compare your numbers with the official results on the Florida Lottery website.
Also remember that a ticket can't be cancelled after you buy it. Check your numbers before you confirm.
Want to know what came out last week, last month or last year? The table above lists past draws with the date, the winning numbers and the jackpot. You can search by date to find a draw quickly.
A lot of players enjoy reading old results. It's interesting to see how a jackpot grew and how many draws it took before somebody won it.
But old results can't tell you what's coming next. The balls have no memory. A number that showed up three times last month is not "hot", and a number that's missing for a year is not "due". Every draw starts from zero. So treat the history as something to look at for fun, not as a system.
The jackpot is very hard to win. These are the odds for each prize:
| Numbers matched | Odds of winning |
|---|---|
| 6 of 6 (Jackpot) | 1 in 22,957,480 |
| 5 of 6 | 1 in 81,409.50 |
| 4 of 6 | 1 in 1,415.82 |
| 3 of 6 | 1 in 70.79 |
| 2 of 6 (free ticket) | 1 in 8.58 |
| Any prize | 1 in 7.61 |
The chance of winning any prize looks good at 1 in 7.61, but most of those wins are the free ticket. Cash prizes are much rarer than that.
The jackpot odds are about 1 in 23 million. It can happen, and every past jackpot winner was just an ordinary player with an ordinary ticket. Still, it's wise to play for fun only, and only with money you can afford to lose.
Yes. The Florida Lottery sells its own tickets in shops inside Florida, so players in Nigeria join through an online service like WeLoveLotto. You pick your numbers on the site, pay in Naira, and your ticket goes into the draw. You must be 18 or older to play.
The draw is on Wednesday and Saturday at about 11:15 PM Florida time. In Nigeria, that's about 4:15 AM on Thursday and Sunday when the US is on daylight time (mid-March to early November). It's about 5:15 AM when the US is on standard time (early November to mid-March). Ticket sales close about 20 minutes before the draw.
Small and medium wins from tickets bought on WeLoveLotto are added to your account, and you can withdraw them to your Nigerian bank account in Naira. Bigger wins may need a few extra steps first, like confirming who you are, before they're paid out.
Applicable taxes will be taken out of the prize before you get it.
Play responsibly. Lotto is supposed to be fun. Set a budget and stick to it, and never try to win back what you lost. If it stops being fun, take a break.
